Who can register to add cases to this site?
This site is intented for use by retina specialists, ophthalmologists, ophthalmic photographers and trainees to share images of interesting retina cases. Registration is protected by a global registration password that is changed about every 3 months. If you were invited to register, you should have no problem. If the password has expired, please email the website administrator with details about who you are and a phone number so you or your office can be called or texted for verification. Then you will be sent the global registration password. Sometimes people try to register just to pad the votes for a friend of theirs who has an image etnered in the 'Best Image Contest'. This type of registration is discouraged because it is unfair to other users who have an image being considered for the award. top
Important information for Image Uploading!
Please consider adding images from interesting and unusual cases to this site. In addition, particularly high quality images showing common disease or findings would make excellent additions to this site. You need to register to upload cases. You should be careful to eliminate all identifying information from your images AND the filenames since both are visible by the public. Also, you need to add your pictures to an existing album or create a new album PRIOR to uploading your pictures. Albums are sorted inside of categories alphabetically. So check out other albums in the category before naming your album so it will fit in well. If you are uploading several images from one case, the most efficient thing is to create a new album and put all the information about the case into that album and then upload the photos. You can edit the information section of an album after you have created it. The site allows for very large photos files.
Also, visitors to the site and registered users can vote on images and comment on images. So if you see something you like or have a comment, please vote on the image or add a comment to the image. top
