55-year-old woman was seen in the office on 11/18/08. She has a half sister with Stargardt’s disease and seven other siblings who are fine. She said her parents are fine also. She has had vision loss since about 1998. Her vision has gradually worsened since I saw her last in 2001. VISUAL ACUITY: Vision 20/120 OD, 20/160 OS. IOP: OD 13, OS 5. AMSLER GRID: Normal in both eyes. SLIT LAMP EXAM: There is 1+ nuclear sclerosis in both eyes. EXTENDED OPHTHALMOSCOPY: OD: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.6. There is no posterior vitreous separation. There is atrophy of the macula. There are typical pisciform lesions around the macula of yellow triradiate spots. OS: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.6. There is no posterior vitreous separation. There is macular atrophy and, again, there are yellow triradiate pisciform lesions around the macula. IMPRESSION: 1. STARGARDT’S MACULAR DYSTROPHY WITH FUNDUS FLAVIMACULATUS VARIANT
