80-year-old man has wet age-related macular degeneration in his left eye. He has an atypical angiogram and that there is a gutter under the choroidal neovascular membrane suggesting still leakage of subretinal fluid. Because of that and the vision change in the left eye, I suggested photodynamic laser. There is some bleeding there. VISUAL ACUITY: OS 20/400. IOP: 9. The posterior chamber intraocular lens is in good position. EXTENDED OPHTHALMOSCOPY: OS: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.5. There is pigment epithelium thickening centrally. IMPRESSION: 1. WET AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION – LEFT EYE DISCUSSION: I explained to the patient the macula in the left eye does have an exudate of lesion, which is causing progressive vision loss in the eye. I suggested photodynamic laser to at least slow or stop the leakage from the macula.
