74 year old man 9 days ago he noticed at 5:00 PM a shade pulled down on the top half of his left eye. He did not do anything at the time. The next morning it was still hazy. But then by noon the next day it cleared. Then about a week ago the vision was good. Then 2 days later the vision got even darker. He went to the ER at Countryside. He was checked: a sonogram on the left eye for and RD was normal. Also the patient was checked with a CT of the head. He has a history of stroke. He has dysfibrinogen anemia. This can allow fibrinogen proteins to clot. He was reviewed with his initial stroke at the Mayo clinic. He has a 50 percent blockage of the carotid on the left side which was checked about with an MRA, and then Countryside did a carotid study. The recent test was 50 percent.
