She has no family history of retinal dystrophy. She denies nyctalopia. VA 20/50 OU. Testing shows diffuse outer retina loss. The patient went on to gradually lose central vision.
The vision in both eyes deteriorated after plaquenil was stopped. The left eye saw 2/200 within 1 year and then stabilized.
