There is a hemorrhagic pigment epithelial detachment on the superior pole of the optic nerve, extending a disc-and-a-half diameter off the nerve, with adjacent exudates. There is a serous macular detachment involving the center of the fovea.
VA improved from 20/100 to 20/50 in four months from laser.

She mostly notices them in bright light her vision glares out and she has difficulty seeing. PMHx: malaria in 1948 that was treated. She was told at one point she could possibly have had Familial Mediterranean fever.
She does intermittently get rashes around her arms. She has arthritis in her knees and ankles.
VISUAL ACUITY: OD 20/40, OS 20/50 - HLA - A29 Positive

Myopic Macular Degeneration - Staphyloma - Recent Vision Loss Right Eye - Possible CNVM610 views83-year-old woman is a high myope with myopic macular degeneration. She had a retinal detachment repair in the right eye in 1968. I saw her in June of 2003. She had posterior colobomas and areas of pigment epithelial atrophy. She has noticed over the last six weeks substantial declining vision in the right eye. Prior to that, the vision in the two eyes was about the same. She uses Xalatan in the left eye and Alphagan in both eyes.
VISUAL ACUITY: Vision OD is 20/160, OS is 20/40

Her blood pressure has been very high. She was in the hospital Friday. Her blood pressure during that visit was 250/130 and her blood pressure in your office she reports was somewhere around the same. I just checked her blood pressure at the beginning of my visit and it was 200/120 in her right arm sitting. Her vision is poor enough that she can barely see to walk around. She has also been feeling nauseous

OCT SCAN: There is macular thickening in both eyes with intraretinal cysts.

OD: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.2. There are foveal cysts. There is also a retinal elevation inferiorly and there are patchy peripheral retinal hemorrhages.
OS: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.2. There are foveal cysts. There is peripheral retinal issues with some hemorrhage in some areas of peripheral retinoschisis.

Subluxated Crystalline IOL with Pseudoexfoliation610 views82-year old male comes in with blurriness on the bottom half of his vision. Patient's VA was 20/25. Slit lamp examination shows subluxated crystalline lens inferiorily. Pseudoexfoliation debris superiorly at 10 o'clock with no vitreous present in the anterior chamber. Patient scheduled for surgery for CE IOL in the right eye.
